A K-4 ten-wheeler is to be my first scratch-built loco. I think I'll need
to scratch-build the drivers also (this is N scale) but I don't have any
good-enough pictures of them. So I am asking for some help, please.
If any of you are in the Alliance, Lincoln or Council Bluffs areas, could
you please shoot a full-frame, straight on picture of one of the drivers?
(Even 640x480 would be plenty good enough resolution.) Alliance might be
best since (from the one photo of #719 I've seen) there are no fences or
railings in the way. I don't know how #915 in Dodge Park is situated, but
#710 in Lincoln is sitting behind some heavy decorative railings.
I just need the image to be clear enough to get the spoke width, and the
radii where it meets the rim and center (mainly to see how small a milling
cutter I'll need to use to machine the wheels) I'd love to go in person
and take photos and measurements, but for the near future I don't foresee
that happening.
Thanks very much in advance!
Best regards,
Randy
