Tks for comments. Head-On Collision Tank Car line does indeed exist (or did
a few yrs ago) but are not in the "31 ORER & I believe they are a post-WWII
company. (Business did not have that sense of humour in the 30's!). But
the Chicago River & Indiana makes sense as the script writing of the
agent(s) at times is open to interpretation - I checked the car # to the
Register & it fits so one mystery solved. Harbor Tank Line was a
possibility too but like the comment made, unlikely to transpose twice on
different dates. Maybe was a mark begun in "32. Some may have been
shortlived during the Depression, As for the Banana Messenger - what I
couldn't figure out was why he needed a seal - would assume he would carry
those of his employer (United Fruit Co or whomever). As you said, they had
to frequently ck the bananas. Any thoughts on the engineer for locomotive
seal usage?
