Hobby Visions is in Las Vegas on October 9, 10 (trade only days) and 11 & 12
(public days).
I presume your tongue was in your cheek with the "Also, will I be able to
complain to Walthers that the new way car is 1/64
inch too long?" as my scale rule shows it to be within the tolerances of a
nominal 30'-0" that a wood bodied car exhibits on the prototype......
And David, any Hobby Shop Owner getting his or her nose out of joint over my
observation methinks might "protesteth too much"...... as I have and do
work within the industry, behind the counter and in other roles, I have seen
what I speak of firsthand. Yes, it is outside of the strict purpose of this
list but it was not intended to start a rant on hobby shops....just a a
passing insight into the situation here in Chicago with the apparent
imminent demise of the RICHTA show, at least as far as Model Railroading is
concerned.
