MSTS does have the capability of views from inside a train, be it a
caboose cupola, dome car upper level, caboose platform, observation car,
etc. In the present version, only one 'passenger' view is available
during the course of a run if an included car has a view available.
Maybe version 2 (out this fall-winter) will allow movement from
viewpoint to viewpoint. Some of the existing add-ons include a BN ( i
know...) caboose from which you can basically do a 360° view. Riding
this over Maria Pass in front of the Izaak Walton Inn at Essex and
seeing the lodging cabooses on the hill is slick
