I purchased an 1890's woodie not to long ago. In pretty good condition, and
paid 11,000. At one time, it belonged to the CB&Q. Hope this helps. I was
told, that normally, this car would bring about 20K.

Can any BRHSlisters help Tom? I'm thinking maybe, $15 to $20,000
based on some I've seen for sale on websites.
Of course, ANY preserved CB&Q/C&S equipment is priceless!! :-)
