Malcolm,

Try airbrushing Glosscote over the Silver instead of Dullcote. Then do
the decals and finally spray with a Semi-Gloss to seal the decals. I use a
50/50 mixture of Floquil Flat Finish & Crystal Cote diluted 50% with lacquer
thinner for my final finish. If you want a duller finish just use the Flat
Finish thinned 50% with lacquer thinner.
