Smetime back someone on the list asked why in some older photos some Q steam
locos had what appeared to a small, extra headlight.
Per Al Holck who in turn heard this yrs ago from a ret'd. employee, it was a
'back-up' light either used because they did not, at the time, have dimmers
for headlights when approaching other trains, in yards, etc or for use when
backing up. Gerald
