The green paint on coal just made me remember it. My grandparents lived in
Percy, IL and I can remember them having coal with green paint or something
green at least on it. I was thinking that this coal came from Peabody's
Green Diamond mine at Marissa, IL. I do not know who hauled the coal but
would think that getting it from one of the Old Ben mines would be rather
out of the way for Percy, IL. Heck Southwestern Coal's Streamline mine was
just out side the town line. Does any know if more than one company put
green paint on their coal?
