HI all, I have a question that has bugged me for a long time. Whenever a renumbering has taken place, you will often see a reference to the former history with the annotation of 'nee' (e.g. dome-coach (ex-AMT 9486, nee-SP&S 559) ). This issue surfaced again as I was browsing through bellsouthpwp.net passenger car site. In all my years of reading railroad materials, I have yet to see this term defined. What does 'nee' mean? Thanks, Val |
