I have loaded two Sanborn maps in PDF format in the group files on
Yahoo. They show the M&StL and Wabash joint trackage/yard on the SE side
of Albia, Ia. You will need Acrobat Reader to open the files. The maps
date from 1933, while we know Sanborn Maps are not always accurate on
rail placement, they do show us the tracks and their relationship to
surrounding buildings/businesses. Note how the two railroads split at
the north end of the yard with the Wab curving to the NW and the M&StL
heading to Maxon which is NE.
