"Chicago's Train Stations" gives a date of c.1880. My CB&Q station drawing
is a "present condition" tracing of the original and does not indicate the
date built as some of the Building Department drawings do. My guess is that
it would be late 1880 ....probably about the same time the Stone Avenue
Station was built. The original stations on the line were of frame
construction except for Riverside, which was brick because of the planned
real estate development.
