Oldest existing depot between Chicago/Aurora although no longer on the 'main', is Batavia which is an original from 1850 (West Chicago's depot museum is in an 1890's replacement). Line was rerouted via the current line from the former C&NW trackage rights on May 20, 1864. Double tracking from Chicago west began in 1865.
