Business Car

Just got my Kato business car. Hope that it's just the first in a line of cars. 
One thing I'd like to change though is the diaphragm. I'd like something that 
operates and spans the gap between cars. I've got some of the American Limited 
(?) sets to use on my Havelock Baggage Cars eventually, but are there better 
suggestions for a BUDD car?
