A friend recently asked me what year most heavyweights started wearing silver
paint, in particular Diner-Lounge #326 (DO-2). I didn't have an answer but
speculated sometime near the SSS modernized-heavyweight coach PC-9
conversion era of 1953. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? (I may
have been way off!)
