Yes, that's right. On the AT&SF side the problem is Air
Conditioning. There is also an operating problem on
Cajon & Tehachapi with BN units not having extended
range dynamic brakes. And you can add to that AT&SF's
policy of only paying for event recorders in even numbered
units. There are also toilet freeze up issues and problems
with radio call up capabilities. The separate radio systems
still exist today, too expensive to change.
