Paul,

The BRHS has had layouts open for Fall meet attendees over the past 20+
years, but not usually for the Spring Meet since it is a one-day-only
affair. John & I are working on having at least four layouts open for tour
Thursday evening at the St. Louis Meet in September.

Hi all,

While recently talking about the Streator meet with a couple of my model
railroading buddies, one of them asked if any layouts were open during the
meet. I told him that isn't a usual activity at a Society meet but later I
got to thinking, "Why not?" I know many people enjoyed seeing the CB&Q
layout on display at the Mendota depot last year, and that many also look
for railroad related side activities to check out in the area a meet is
held in. So would finding some modelers in future meet locations who would
be willing to open their Burlington Route (or any road?) layouts to meet
attendees, like they do during NMRA meets in their area, be a possibility
to consider for future BRHS meets?
