The enclosed caption was from an article in the Chicago Tribune regarding
Amtrak's recent high-speed test in Michigan:
"The 30-year-old government-created national passenger railroad is expected
to run out of operating funds within months, and Congress will receive
recommendations next week from the Amtrak Reform Council calling for the
privatization of many Amtrak routes."
Wouldn't it be great if there were a venture capitalist out there with a
fondness for railroad nostalgia?
