A rough measurement of the drawings in Loco 1 - The Diesel which were done
by Al Kamm, Jr. from the EMD/Budd General Arrangement drawings indicates
that the wheels were more likely 38" dia, not 28".
28" would be highly unusual for a AAR style B Power Truck; I would doubt
that dimension very much.
I have never seen anything beyond the Budd strip drawings and the EMD/Budd
General Arrangement Drawings for any of the Shovelnoses; I don't have my
Diagram Books here but unless you find something to the contrary I would go
with 38".
