Hi Charlie,

That's what I thought, but when it comes to being accurate for a
manufacturer, it's always nice to have multiple opinions! I'm checking out
the drawings for Doug's units.

I doubt it. The Hostler Window was there so the B units could be moved
independently.
The A units could be moved by themselves with the normal controls.
If the units were intended for branchline wayfreights then the rear windows
would have been there...... it would have been better that that is what they
were used for rather (shades of GM&O) rather than the horrible fate they had
as "Zephyr Boosters"!
