I remember seeing a Steam Engine (Don't remember which one) being used in
the Hannibal, Mo yards on the waterfront for swithing and local work during
the spring 1973 floods. The water was too deep for the diesels. Anyway,
this is my recollection of the last time I saw one working in regular
service.

With all of the talk the last couple of days on the Q's preserved steam
engines, when was the last "non-excursion" use of steam on the CB&Q.
Primarily was wondering more about mainline usage for one of the fall grain
rush, as I figure that the last use was probably either on a branchline or
in a yard.
