John,
Max Gray's stuff was built by KTM in Japan who then built for Westside 
after Max's death. Stuff has the reputation of being solidly-built, 
good-runners. Typifies what good Japanese brass locomotives are all about. 
May not be current state of the art vis-a-vis detailing standards but good 
for what their era.
