Leo and Pete
I will say a big AMEN to what Pete says about common sense.
I watched a guy who had worked a Dispatching job for a couple years take
the same territory as a Trainmaster and not have a clue as to how it
operated. Since I have been a dispatcher I have seen only one guy not get
promoted for hitting the Belt bridge and he had already been an offical and
resigned to return to the ranks. Another hit the CTA bridge at Western Ave.
and is now a TM Guess that is why I am still in a entry level position
after 28 years
