Heard from a friend today that one of Pat Dorin's future (down the road a
piece) projects is an expanded version of "Everywhere West". He said Pat
would like to tap the members of the Society and this list when he gets
underway. I'll keep in touch with him.
The two WC SD24's (ex-CB&Q) have been deadlined in Fond du Lac, WI. One has
been gutted of usable parts already. The second one is next in line.
Found out today from a fellow engineer in Superior that his dad was an
engineer on the Q. He told me out of ten railroaders in his family, he was
the only one that didn't hire on prior to the merger. It sounded like the Q
lineage in his family went back to 1898. I'll have to start pumping more
info out of him next time I see him!
