Between 1956 and 1967, while riding CB&Q commuter tains into Chicago, I
routinely saw tens of C&S boxcars in the yards at Cicero (Clyde), mixed
in with cars from many other railroads. Can't recall that I specifically
saw any C&S open-top cars, though AFAIK there wouldn't be any reason why
not.
