Hi Troops,
I'd like to know who appraised the map. Remember that it's only worth X if
someone is willing someone is willing to pay X. I bought a 1961 large wall
map in good condition two years ago and paid $65. I talked him down from
$75 because he still had it at the end of the show. The show was in strong
"Q" hub, Galesburg, IL. I was surprised that it was still there at the end
of the two day show. Granted there is twelve years difference between
these two, but I can't buy that much difference in pricing.
I often watch "Q" collectable items on Ebay. Try comparing the Ebay price
with some of the dealer prices at shows. Big difference.
I'm not an expert, just a careful collector and thought I would add my two
cents.

"vacation planners" from the 30s, 40s, or 50s. One entire side is a map of
the system, approximately 19" X 36". I got mine off ebay for about eight
bucks. Of course it cost $80 to have it framed, but it looks great.
