Cleanest, brightest break I ever saw on a coupler (in railroad terms drawbar)
was in Savanna eastbound one day when a fireman (at the time)(who will remain
unnamed) had 5 SD40's and 60 cars. Lets just say he widened 'em out a little
too quickly and the drawbar on that head car(mty flat) just couldn't take the
torque. Luckily it was out the West end so it was a simple maneuver to set it
to the yard lead and let the SV switch crew shove her on down to the rip.
