The UP's current Sterling/Julesburg switcher is stenciled on the cab as an
SD38-2(#795), yet it is only a four axle unit.
I too have been wondering what the difference is. Looks like a GP38-2 to me.
But what do I know about diesels? I'm just a steam guy!
