Last night I was thumbing through the excellent book by Alfred Holck
entitled "Burlington Route Color Pictorial" - Volume 2 and noticed there is
a section beginning on page 105 on the Q's foray into pooling motive power
during the 1960's with the UP, RG, Erie, EL, NYC, PA, PC,GTW, GN, NW, B&O
and possibly other railroads.
I know this arrangement was touched on in the not too distant past but was
wondering if anyone on the list has specific info on this pertaining to the
run between Chicago and Galesburg just before and just after the merger.
In other words, which participating roads' power would be appropriate
running with CB&Q power in this area and at that time?
