I have heard locally that the depot in Oregon IL, just 6 miles from me,
is in danger of being torn down. The city of Oregon 4500 pop. owns the
depot and has been using it for storage. The tile roof is leaking in
the vallies and is in need of repairs quickly to stablize the structure.
At the present time the building is in fair shape and could be restored.
The problem as I see it is the city fathers have no money or intrest in
the project now that they own it. Does anyone have any ideas?? or know
of any state or federal grants?? I'm looking for ideas to save this
beautiful structure from the wrecking ball. If you have any ideas
