Greetings Greg,
First of all, please accept my apology for the delay in responding to your
email. Somehow this and three others got "lost" after I returned from the
BRHS annual meet in Ft. Worth.
It's great to hear from someone who is active in firing the only live
Burlington steam locomotive!
We have a lot of information on the 4960, as she had a very busy career on
the Q, in freight service, railfan excursion service - both on the Q and
later. If you have specific questions, I would be more than happy to answer
them directly, otherwise I would suggest that you subscribe to the BRHSlist,
and post your general questions there. There are currently over 300 CB&Q
fans (including a lot of ex-employees who I'm certain have had experience
with the 4960.
Again, sorry for the delay,
Dave Lotz

I am a new fireman at the Grand Canyon Railway in Az. I was wounder what
information you had on 4960. I have spent the last 2 months working on her
and it has been very intresting. As far as I can see for what you say she is
the only working locomotive from the cb&q.
Thank you,
Greg stokes
