This former Burlington car which has been refurbished by Illinois Transit
will soon be installed at Maricopa, Arizona on the UP (ex-SP) mainline. It
will be the station for Phoenix and there will be a bus connection. Since
Amtrak discontinued running via the ex-SP Phoenix line some time ago, the
bus
connection was at Tucson. The entire project when completed will cost
approximately $750,000. The project is under the supervision of Pinal County
public works department.
