I was just curious whether Burlington Northern still has some 40ft
boxcars from predessesor roads, ex..CB&Q? I spotted 2 in BN paint (i
swear they were 40ft) on an NS freight, eastbound thru NW Indiana 2
weeks ago. Then they returned Westbound a week ago. I have that on video
tape. I could not make out car #'s. The paint was quite well faded on
them. They stuck out like a sore thumb from the rest of the train,
that's why i believe they were 40 footers! I do still regularly spot
50ft Northern Pacific and Great Northern boxcars, but no CB&Q. Is there
any equipmet still in CB&Q paint running in revenue service?
