I just returned from a trip and found this question in the archives. Would
someone forward this to Mr Boylan as the archives cut his address.
I believe you mean the Burlington and Missouri River. You have two roads.
First you have the B&MR in Iowa, formed in 1852 by the CB&Q to build across
Iowa. This is the current main line from Burlington to Plattsmouth. This road
was made part of the CB&Q in 1875.
The second is the B&MR in Nebraska, formed to build all lines from Plattsmouth
west. It was made part of the CB&Q IN 1904.
Regarding the 0-10-0's there is a builders photo in Corbins 'Steam
locomotives of the Burlington Route', there are three photos in Corbins
'Burlington in Transition' and two photos in Burlington Bulletin #34.

Masterson of the locos in question,namely the Rogers built 0-10-0s scrapped in
1916. I believe that others probably exist because at the time they appeared
they were considered giant locos. That would have attracted early
photographers who revelled in the" biggest and bestest" syndrome. I guess
because their customers did, but regardless of why I would like to get
underway in this pursuit... and would appreciate any information on the B&MV
route so I can line up the historical societies.
