One thing that hasn't come up yet in this message thread is the fact that some
photos of the Q's vertical three color light signals show that the colors, from
the top are arranged yellow, green and red. Generally the arrangement is green,
yellow and red, (unless you're one of those backwards eastern roads) and this
one is used today by the BNsf on the former Q trackage. Did this change in the
arrangement of the colors take place before the merger in 1970, or after the
merger. Just wondering, because in 1970 even though the basic signal aspects
were the same, the Q and the NP had certain aspects unique to them, while the
GN was a little more "generic".
