To the BRHSlist members

I am hoping some of the well informed members of this list can help me
with some research. The CB&Q (evidently) owned a large hotel in Cody,
Wyoming. The hotel was called the Burlington Inn from as early as I can
find records (about 1917) until sometime around WW2 when it was renamed
the "Cody Inn" and operated as a "Warren Hotel". Most of my knowledge
of the Inn comes from collecting post cards of it and this latest date
is from such a post card which has a 40's vintage truck in the photo.
My family moved to Cody in the summer of 1956 and the Inn was closed by
that time. In fact, part of the Inn was cut loose and moved a bit down
the road to become part of the offices of the Husky Oil Company where my
dad worked. Needless to say, the Burlington served the Inn and the PV
sidings must have been quite a sight in the 20's.

And so, to the question. I am looking for any information or stories
about the Burlington Inn. I would also like to find out if the
Burlington built the line to Cody specifically to serve the Inn and if
so, when.

A friend in Cody who is also interested in the Inn's history and I
appreciate any information offered.

Thank you all
Howard Wise
