Bill,
I need to make correction to my earlier answer. This line did not go into
Macomb. The Q ran parallel to US 67 and went under the ATSF between four and
six miles South of town.

I was in Monmouth Il. today and found an abandon rail line that I don"t
how it belong to?
the line extended south from what is know today as the bnsf south yard.cross
the old hwy 34 route through Monmouth just east of the new clover leaf of
hwy 34 & 67 on the south side going on south across a farm field you can
still see the right way.
this not the Mostly line as I know why that's at on the north side of town.
