I was looking through SmugMug and Flickr photos looking for hand car colors on the Q and found a yellow hand car lift. I didn’t pay much attention to small cranes or date for the yellow hand car. Most of the hand car photos were grayscale, so no color information there. There’s a yellow or faded Omaha orange push car photo from 1975 in the MOW section of the Morning Sun CB&Q Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment. I thought the Q MOW standard was mineral red until Omaha orange, but I don’t know if that applied to hand cars and small cranes. The large cranes were black. A trip through the Flickr MOW folder may help re the Burro color.
