Group - As promised, more images of the Q's Class D 2-8-0s:

CB&Q Class D-4-B No. 3193 awaits the scrapper's torch at Eola, IL, in 1931. This chunky looking locomotive was originally built for the B&MR. The Corbin book shows it as having been retired in December 1930.

CB&Q Class D-7 No. 3031 is shown being used as a switcher at Denver, CO, on April 19, 1921. The Corbin book reports it was retired in November 1928. 3031 and its only sister 3030 were odd balls on the Q roster, both being former I&StL locomotives. Note the diamond stack for burning lignite coal.
