All,
I fondly remember a special I had the oppurtunity to take twice. When I was
in high school, Casper WY, the Jrs & Srs were allowed to take a football
special to Cheyenne for a football game. 1962 was the first old heavyweight
cars and a steam locomotive, eventful as in Douglas, WY an old truck pulled out
in fron of the locomotive and the engine hit him, just a mushed truck and a 1/2
hour delay. I happened to be standing in the baggage car door, converted to a
snack bar. I remember the parts and pieces flying pased from the truck. 1963
alas old heavyweight cars but a diesel locomotive. No accidents. Very fond
memories.
Harold Huber
