protection for any work that goes into the public domain before January
1,1978,also publications had a 28 year protection,whould have had to been
renewed ,when that time was up,within one year,97% of publications that expired
before 1968 have never been renewed,this is stated by the U S Copyright

I can't find any differentation for magazines in 17 U.S.C.. 302 or 305.
