- As info (for anyone who hasn't seen the news release or heard the news) Metra has announced 300 new cars for commuter service. It is reported 50 of those cars will replace the original Q double decks

- According to adds in the rr industry trade pubs. for July the Metra has 213 suburban coaches for sale and is requesting bids.Looks like the Q double decks are headed elsewhere as the new replacements

- Just a little reminder/heads up.Metras latest news letter confirms the new cars will be delivered starting in '03.Best to get any shots of the original 700 series double decks you want while you can.
