Hello, list. As I understand it, the CB&Q in the mid 1920s entered into a traffic agreement with the Gulf, Mississippi, and Northern to handle Chicago traffic to/from the Gulf Coast via Paducah, KY.

This is correct. As per Overton's book, the Q opposed the GM&O merger, but did not really fight it. Traffic had never developed the way it was envisioned for the Paducah Gateway when it opened. The G
