Nelson, I'm sure that there is someone who knows for sure what was the "first" application, but here is what I know. The converted Troop kitchens in 1947-48 did not initially have the new lettering.

Nelson, Actually, the green Havelock baggage cars starting arriving in very late 1950 and the silver cars in 1951, so these were early users of the new style lettering. I model December 1950 and have
