Louis and group, Engineer was Lizzie Langford and the occasion was the awarding of his 40 year pin. Fire man was Loyd Engle and the conductor was Everett Powell. Circa 1959? -- Yahoo Groups Links <*>

Louis, I think you are correct in the assumption this was a last run for engineer Liz Langford. As I recall it was closer to1958. He hired out in 1920 so he retired with 38 years service.. Archie --

OK group, I uncovered some more info from an old seniority roster and Liz hired out in 1907 and was promoted to engineer in 1920. So my first inclination of the 50 year pin was very possible and that
