- I never realized how many manufacturers made farm implements until I began this search. I spoke too quickly. Planters were light. The implements that had heavy ribbed wheels were one-ways. W. D. Hoy

- After seeing the picture I remember the tires on our '48 8N had central ribs like that. They helped traction when turning in losse soil. They would have helped stabilize one-ways too in hard or rocky
