The 5020 was something of a nomad during its tenure as a 2-8-2. Upon delivery in 1911 it was assigned to the Alliance Division, where it remained after its rebuilding from the 1913 boiler explosion.

So it wasn't rebuilt from the explosion into the 0-8-0?  What was the reason to do it later?  Roadworthy-ness?  Needed a switcher and that was a better candidate than a 2-8-2 that hadn't had an accid
