A block of the 13500-series NE-10s were painted orange in about 1948 when they were equipped with radio; they were used almost exclusively on Lines West and four or five of them remained orange until

Hol is correct about the Orange Waycars being primarily Lines West assigned but I did see them in Clyde Yard on the East End in the 1963-66 era. I don&#8217;t recall seeing them actually on trains on

Some were, apparently, assigned to the Wymore Division Lincoln-St. Joe pool. I think they were assigned to particular conductors..I even "overnighted" in one in St. Joe summer of 58. Pete A block of
