Some were, apparently, assigned to the Wymore Division Lincoln-St. Joe pool.  I think they were assigned to particular conductors..I even "overnighted" in one in St. Joe summer of 58.

A block of the 13500-series NE-10s were painted orange in about 1948 when they were equipped with radio; they were used almost exclusively on Lines West and four or five of them remained orange until repainted green, either by the Q in 1969 or by BN in the early 1970s.

I never saw one of the orange waycars in actual service. Any thoughts on where/when they were used? Thanks.
