Having worked as a trainman on those cars, and seeing the sign, I would agree that that is not Burlington lettering. Note the &#8220;B&#8221; on CB&Q; the B letter is fatter on the right hand side of

My quibble with this assessment is that it looks like the authentic one on the car would not have any mounting holes either since it is inside a frame. The problem i would have with it is the lack of
