Bryan, I have one too. I'll post an image of mine for discussion. The case is brass and possibly a thin gold plate. You can see how tarnished it is. The main engraving is similar but the edge design

I see you posted a pic.  Very interesting in that it appear to be the same image on a different case. Does yours have the double track and leaves as well as the trailing cars? The finish of the case

Sounds like it was consistently (at least in 100% of the known surviving examples!) acquired without a movement.  IIRC, mine is also constructed of plated brass.  Given the age of your movement and w

Bryan, I believe that this was a photo engraved piece, mass produced. Most likely not a stamping. I don't think the detail would have been as sharp and the lines as close together. There is no eviden
